The Duelist
Hi Creative Hivers,
Check this out guys I’m jumping into the "Finish This Drawing" challenge over on the Drawaday community. They gave us this little sketch just a simple, wonky head with a long nose
and I immediately saw a scrappy little cowboy ready for a mischief.
It was so fun working on those basic lines and building a new character around them.
I gave him this super thick, textured hair like a piece of that chocolate kisses and a yellow sweater that just pops against the brown tones. His hands hovering right over those blue holsters and about to draw. I love keeping the proportions a bit wonky and the lines feeling energetic and alive. I want my character to be playful and slightly intense. Turning a floating head into a duelist was a fun and satisfying experience it’s all about seeing the weird potential in a few simple strokes and being amazed by the results.
