Splinterlands Puts Focus on Scaling Up
Splinterlands, a trading card game, has witnessed a tremendous surge of players and will be focusing a lot of its efforts on expanding out its infrastructure. To ensure that the game operates as smoothly as possible, the creators believe that some other features will be pushed down the priority list.
According to DappRadar data, the number of daily active players in Splinterlands has increased from 9,000 in late July to around 75,000 this month. This level of expansion has resulted in some server issues, which has led the game to lose sync with the blockchain. Strange things happened, and the game had to be taken offline for a few hours.
At the moment there are more than 100,000 players who paid $10 for the Spellbook, allowing them to participate in the play-to-earn economy. Splinterlands expects this number to double to 200,000 some time in September. This just shows that the game is seeing lots of activity.
