Splinterlands Season Update: Rewards, Progress & What's Next

Another season has come to an end and despite finishing in Gold II, the reset has sent me back to Silver I. Time to climb the ladder all over again!

End of Season Rewards

With around 57k Glint at end of the season I had enough to build up a small collection of Gold and Legendary potions and I also opened 6 Champion Chests.

Using the above Soulbound rewards I have managed to level up two cards: Cullborn Revenant & Thornmaw Beserker.

With the extra copies, taking the Cullborn Revenant to third level from first makes sense for the extra health and speed. Whereas the Thornmaw Beserker will gain Final Rest which is a new ability to me so I am excited to see it in use.

With the sales of the Wailsworn Spector and the Rare scroll, my Liquid SPS rewards from 65% battle earnings and I was also able to build up my rental reserves. I keep 900 dec separate at all times to ensure any rental expansion is possible. After refilling this back to 900 dec, I was able to purchase a good number of copies for Torrent Sniper, taking me to level 3 and earning the Painforge ability which is already beginning to pay off nicely.

I have already begun working my way back up the ladder and I am battling away in Gold 3 right now. Which is where I hope to rebound up into the higher levels of Gold again to earn the juicier SPS rewards and Glint.

So in order to pay off this rental, I will need to replace around ~231 dec which with 40sps to be claimed today, I should be able to do so immediately. Wins are earning me around 3 sps which is where I expect it to stay for a while which is good.

The strategy of liquidating 65% of the SPS and converting it to DEC is working. My stack of SPS is continuing to grow albeit a little slower than I would like. But I do believe this is currently the correct strategy moving forward. But if you have any suggestions on what can be done to enhance my progress, I am open to feedback.

My next goals are to get to 1k SPS and begin to work on my Water and Death cards so I can take advantage of my Zeddica at 5th level. Zeddica is a card I was happy to purchase as it allowed me to play out the Little League battles and with a dual element archon, it gives me more choices for low mana and high damage monsters.

This has been a much shorter than usual blog but it should serve to mark my progress moving forward. Overall things are moving very positively.
