Bug Rider | A Scribble-based Drawing (+Video Process)
To keep me entertained drawing while I recovered, my decided to collect some scribbles from her students.
The fist one, which I worked on today is by Saul (7)
Process
Saul really made things complicated with so many lines, all intertwined.
It took me a while to start.
My wife had told me that he liked cars and as I looked at the lines it appeared to me that some could make the visor of a car racer.
I started to shape from there
Here I had pretty much the scene figured out, but there would be some details that made me erased quite a few times.
The face of the pilot was giving me a hard time. No idea how to solve the problem. Also the thing the pilot was holding with his left hand did not have a concrete shape. I thought of it as a funny-looking slice of pizza.
I ended up closing the whole face with a helmet that looks more like a warplane pilot's.
Now my pilot looked like some bug; maybe a fly car-racer.
I added some background and considered it done!
