Yesterday, we went back to our Blood Bank routine.
This time I did not get up at 3 am to get @manujune on the consultation list. She had a bone marrow aspiration scheduled, which usually means she gets called early regardless of her number on the list (this is because the lab where these samples are analyzed closes at 1 pm).

We left home at about seven a.m.

I took her to the nearby lab for her monthly blood tests (that service has not been available at the Blood Bank, so relatives have to pay for their patients' tests at private labs).

After waiting for about 4 hours, she was finally called. It was about 12:15 pm.
Bone marrow sample day is usually very stressful for us because of the invasive nature of the sample collection and the tension that the waiting for the results produces.

I called Anibal, our faithful taxi drivers who has driven us every time we have to run this kind of errand and we were able to deliver the sample at the Jacinto Convit Fundation just in time.

As always, we have to wait for 12 days for the results. The sample was perfect, they said (in precious ocassions it had been too little or it had arrived with cluts, which may compromise effective and reliable results).

I went back to the Blood Bank and had a small soup for lunch. My wife did not feel like eating anything yet. We waited for @manujune to receive her treatment, which was done by 4:15 pm.

She left in a good mood, despite the pain and discomfort resulting from the aspiration. It had been a long but good day. She was able to eat and did not experience nausea. That's a win for us all.
