MCGI TOPIC REVIEW: Dealing With Depressed Teens

The teaching of Brother Eli reflects deeply
Buddhist or traditional interpretation of our scripture and emphasis on discipline, correction and responsibility.

Talking about the growing number of young people that are struggling with so many depression and they are having suicidal thoughts which is a very urgent one. We live in a situation where many people feel hopeless.
They are bullied and they are not disconnected truly. They need guidance, culture and love.

However, when we react to this teaching
there is something important from it. As believers we need to take note of why discipline and moral training is very important. Many people struggle with the idea of physical punishment alone which can create depression, bullying and suicidal thoughts.

We live in a reality where people that are often meant to show this struggle are often involved with so many mental challenges. They gain this mental muscle. What is important here is the message that children need to be intentional. They should not be neglected.

You should not be abandoned. Parents must be present in guiding them to, teaching them what value training is. The danger is when correction is made without compassion. A child who feels unheard or in a position that he feels not loved. Discipline must be paired with understanding, emotional care.

The teaching challenges all parents to keep reflection in their life, how they are training their children, if they are doing it properly, if the discipline is with love. This can save the mental health and the hearts of children today.
