How Do We Overcoming Addiction

Just today I and a friend were having thus discussion about addiction, this is something that has eaten deep into the heart and soul of some persons, addiction spands across every sphere of human endeavors, it could be drugs, it could be betting, sex, could be anything, especially when it's have gone deep beyond what any one can control.

a young man was so addicted into betting that that he spends all his salary of over 400k at a betting shop leaving his wife and kids stranded and indebt, another scenario a man whom his wife gave everything for him to set up his business back on track, instead used that money to bet amd lost everything and he was so broke and devastating afterwards.

Drugs addiction is worst because somehow it's gone deep into the blood stream and it's hard to revert, however God's word is our surest weapon of victory over any device the enemy plans to use.

How do we overcome addiction like drugs betting, womanizing etc. we can only do this through opening our hearts to God's words and prayers, because at the end God's word will prevail over every chain of addiction.

As God's word says there is a way that seems right but the end leads to destruction, so no matter how Good it seems, if it doesn't align with God's ways we should refrain from them.
