Goodnight Grandma
"Hi bobo," she called me by my pet name, "come let me tell you a story."
These were the only words that came out from her when the sun is set and the moon arises.
The "tales of moonlight" were the stories that could brought us closer till we became closer like friends. Weeks turn to months, months to years, yet I didn't know she was getting older. Till one fateful day, when we gathered under the tree where we often meet but she was no way to found. Here, reality was dawn on me that time flies and we should value every moment we have.
As I cuddle my pillow, the only thing that rings in my mind are her advice, encouragement, stories that remind me where I come from.
Hmmm!
Granny, this is your bobo. I will miss you and won't forget you in a hurry... Goodnight Mama.
