DRIFE is a decentralized ride-hailing platform powered by blockchain within their ecosystem. These include three parties which is drivers, commuters, and community developers. DRIFE plans to minimized to corporate intermediaries involved in the transactions. This is first decentralized eco system with block coin technology in the ride hailing industry. DRIFE enhance the overall value provided to all the stakeholders concerned driver income, security, commuters fare , transparent ect.

In this chapter we will discuss the ongoing system disadvantage one by one. They are centralized, unsustainable driver income, lack of loyalty from commuters ,price surges ,lack of a 3-way incentivized economy and surge impact.
Centralized: taxi firm can’t give more benefit their commuters and they get the detail form drive or commuters. It’s fed to proprietary algorithms to find the best possible match. And also many problems with this infrastructure type, namely exploitation in the name of the commission, data breach and high level of government control to a central authority. Currently, there are a couple of major players operating at each geography and are engaging in price wars which results in a high burn rate of their investments. The hide third party try to create a monopoly market in future where they can inflate the prices and commissions, with an iron hold over the governance.

This creates trouble for drivers who end up losing money on costs insurance, maintenance and others, leading to concerns over labour standards and drivers competing frantically for every ride to make a living

An ecosystem with 'No Surge Price' model to sustain the rider's loyalty and create sustainable income for drivers by paying them additional incentive during surge time.
