Baking soda, sodium chloride, calcium carbonate and glycerin are usually used for making homemade toothpaste.The other commonly used ingredients include water , binders, abrasive, surfactant,flavour , sweeteners, fluorides, preservatives, colouring agents,etc.

Procedure
⚫Take 5 g baking soda,1.5 gram sodium chloride,and 1.5g calcium carbonate in a plastic cup.
S⚫tir the mixture,add 4ml glycerin in the mixture and stir it thorougly. The mixture will become thick
⚫Add distilled water with a dropper while stirring until the mixture has about the same thickness as commerical toothpaste.
⚫Add the other ingredients e g edible oil, fluorides,flavoi, sweeteners, preservatives, colouring agents,etc ,and mix thoroughly by constant stirring.

Filling the tubes.
After the ingredients are mixed together,the paste can be filled in the collapsible tubes.
