Daily Musings: 01/29/2022
Its around 10:30 am pacific standard time.
Woke up around my usual, 6am. Was dragging ass but I pushed through. Made some coffee, got in my daily splinterlands quest and got ready for my Saturday morning jog.
I am in Silver II in Splinterlands, and I seem to face bots more often than not. Not sure how I feel about that. Like many things on the hive blockchain, its mixed feelings. I rather compete against other people instead of a bot. My winning percentage is above 50 percent but still man. I wonder how this bodes for the future of the game.
I also got in my brawl lineups. Its been a while since I lost a match but today I faced a formidable foe. By formidable I mean I got decimated by a magic heavy attack. My opponent had legendary gold foil gladiator which destroyed me.
Anyway, after getting my Spinterlands quest and brawls out of the way, I went for a run. I was at the track at around 8:15 am. It was windy AF so it took a while to warm up. But once I broke a sweat it was nice weather for my run. Saturdays are my "long" runs and today I had 6 miles on the agenda,
Mile 2 was the toughest of them all. I kind of ran out of steam but I pushed through it. After mile 3, I found my second win and the rest of my run was pretty chill. I ran all six miles no problem. At the end it seemed like I could go on forever. I find it odd because mile 2 I was dragging ASS. Maybe as you get older it takes longer to get the engine running. Anyway, I am glad I got my 6 miles out of the way and successfully completed week 1 of my marathon training.
I am going to chill for now and in a bit I will get back to teaching myself how to program. I'm on loops and nested loops. It took me a while to completely grasp the subject matter but now I have a pretty good grasp of iterating through lists, strings and what not. It's a little more difficult because there are more moving parts. But slowly but surely we are getting there. Still looking for better learning resources out there, but the ones I found will do for now.
Alright folks hope you have a nice weekend. I'm out.
