Winter is around the corner

Came back from work yesterday at 11PM so tired. Slept all night and when I woke up this morning, it still looked quite dark so I lazily went back to sleep. Woke up some moment later and it appears it's going to be a rainy day and it's 10:30AM already. Looking out from my window, I thought it was something like 8:00AM. It's only when I picked up my phone to check the time that I realized the day was far gone.

It's really getting cold already and as much I hate to admit, winter is upon us. Not a big fan of the cold winters. They can be really cold here in Toronto. I just thank God my classes are mostly online but I still have to go to work so there is no escaping it hahaha. I remember my first winter here in Canada a few years ago. It was bad; especially when I had to wait for a late bus. At that moment, it just feels like life could not be any worse. Waiting out there in the cold just to get notified that the bus will be 5 minutes late.

I have adapted quite well to the cold winters but that does not mean I like it though. Of course the warm, outgoing, fun summers will always be preferred every time. But that is the beauty of nature. Thinking about it, if we had just Summer as a season, wouldn't that be so boring?? The different seasons just spice things up and bring that newness to the environment and breath of new fresh air. Whether we admit it or not, variety in everything just makes it much better. We might wish it was not so for many things but wait until you get your wish. Then, you will understand what they say "you never appreciate what you have until you lose it".

With that said, I am looking forward to try to have the best winter I can this year. Enjoy it and appreciate it in all aspects. It's not like I have a choice anyways. Like it or not, it will still come. In fact, he is right at the corner knocking on the door already.
