SAYING NO, SAVES YOU

There are many life lessons that have improved my quality of life over the years but one major act that has helped me in my new workplace is the act of saying no especially to my colleagues who want to play smart. Recently, I discovered that because some of my colleagues are trying to play on the fact that because I allow some certain things to go through, they tend to take it for granted.

For instance, I am a data entry assistant in my place of work and it is my duty to feed data into the system. Subsequently, just so that the work can be easier I take my time to pull out data from the system so that the other colleagues can work transparently from their own end and would not give me issues when I am computing my data. Unfortunately, they have turned it to something they can do at home as they do not want to put in the effort to do their duties in the appropriate ways.

Recently, I started rejecting some of their offers to do their works for them even before attempting it at all. Again, another life habit of saying no is based on some people who does add any positive value to your life but when wants to gain and take from you.

For instance, a very stingy man can always ask for something when he see you eating or with money but whenever you ask, he complains till eternity. I have steered clear from such people because they are takers and never givers.

It is never bad to say no to people especially when it affects your mental health and the positivitu of your life.

Think of one habit that has genuinely improved your life. It could be small, like journaling, exercising, or saying “no” more often. Describe how this habit transformed your daily routine, mindset, or relationships
