La Negra Atilia (merengue) Cover by Hely Orsini
Pablo Camacaro es un músico, compositor y arreguista larense quien junto a Orlando Moret creó y fundó el Grupo de música venezolana Raíces de Venezuela el año 1976, siendo ésta la primera agrupación instrumental del país, a la que seguirían El Cuarteto, el Ensamble Gurrufío, Arcano, C4 Trío y Los Sinvergüenzas.
Pablo Camacaro tiene en su haber unas 500 composiciones y entre ellas destaca este hermoso merengue La negra Atilia que fue compuesto originalmente para bandolina, y años más tarde el maravilloso compositor Henry Martínez le compuso esta hermosa letra que encaja a la perfección, como si la canción hubiera nacido así, letra y música al mismo tiempo.
A la primera cantante que le escuché este tema fue a Lilia Vera, y desde ese momento quedé encantada.
Hace un par de años atrás la cantante de origen margariteño (radicada en New York) Nella Rojas, realizó una versión a capella, la cual de inmediato se hizo viral.
Hoy de nuevo les dejo mi sencilla versión, con mi cuatro (aclarando que no soy cuatrista) y con mucho cariño.
Pablo Camacaro is a musician, composer and arreguista from Lara, who together with Orlando Moret created and founded the Venezuelan music group Raices de Venezuela in 1976, being this the first instrumental group in the country, which would be followed by El Cuarteto, the Ensamble Gurrufío, Arcano, C4 Trío and Los Sinvergüenzas.
Pablo Camacaro has to his credit some 500 compositions and among them stands out this beautiful merengue La negra Atilia which was originally composed for bandolin, and years later the wonderful composer Henry Martínez composed for him these beautiful lyrics that fit perfectly, as if the song was born this way, lyrics and music at the same time.
The first singer I heard this song was Lilia Vera, and from that moment on I was enchanted.
A couple of years ago the singer from Margarita (based in New York) Nella Rojas, made an a capella version, which immediately went viral.
Today again I leave you my simple version, with my cuatro (clarifying that I am not a cuatrista) and with much affection.
