Cardano (ADA) founder Hoskinson melts ice with Ethereum (ETH) founder Buterin
Charles Hoskinson, CEO of IOHK and creator of Cardano, apparently mended his relationship with Ethereum co-founder Vitalik Buterin and spoke of the Russian-Canadian programmer as mature and confident following his recent appearance on the Lex Friedman podcast.
"I think we've both grown a lot.”
Buterin had claimed he “had interesting ideas” by talking about Cardano for 8 minutes in May 2020:
"I think Cardano takes a slightly different approach compared to Ethereum, and they really highlight this great academic evidence for everything. Ethereum tends to be better with heuristic arguments... there are certainly a lot of interesting things coming out of the IOHK research.”
However, he noted that deep academic rigour was “exaggerated” because many failures were not caused by it.
In March, Hoskinson, who quit ethereum after failing to resolve disagreements with other co-founders, criticised the second-biggest blockbuster as a “disaster.”
In his latest video, he says Cardano's way of doing things is “more mature and responsible.” Hoskinson will also be on the podcast next week.
