Take a Little Time to Think

My actual intentions were to go fishing today. Something that I have not done in so many years I don't want to count.

What I ended up doing was sitting here and remembering all the good times, and bad times I've had around this river.

I grew up right here, my grandpa owned this land, now they tell me I do... I have to tell you this is far too beautiful to be owned by anyone. I don't know if you believe in God. I don't understand how you can look at nature, look at animals, look at this amazing river, and think to it just happened by accident. I am not getting preachy, don't worry.

This spot is where I spent so many firsts in my life. The first time I fished was in this river. The first time I hunted was in the woods to the west. The first time I convinced a girl to sneak off with me to be alone, was right here. Get you're minds out of the gutter, we went fishing. She was the first girl I ever kissed, but that was about 5 years after we went fishing that day.

I'm sure y'all really don't care too much about my personal feelings. I was just feeling a little emotional today.
