Tussock Skink
The Tussock Skink (Pseudemoia pagenstecheri) is a very quick and sneaky little critter, I see these guys all over the banana plantation but I have a very hard time trying to catch one. I'm pretty sure I sometimes look extremely funny trying!! This species is distributed in southeast Australia and Tasmania, despite habitat loss taking place within this species' range, it does not appear to be causing a fast enough rate of population decline. However, it has been reported that the population as a whole, is currently in slow decline.
