Rani Hemantakumari Devi's Palace.
The name of this building is Rani Hemantakumari Devi's Palace. Which is known as a Rajbari. Rajbari means the House of the king. Although this building is named after a queen. Hemantakumari Devi, who was the queen. The palace was built in 1895 to commemorate her.
No people live in this palace now. The palace is oldest model and has 2nd floor . People come here to travel. The members of the royal family were idolaters. That is why there are many ancient idols in the house. However, there is no permission to take pictures of anything inside the house. We can only visit them.
That's why I can't share pictures of the statues with you. This palace is a place of interest controlled by the Department of Archeology of Bangladesh.
I went there with my friend Ibrahim Hossain. I learned a lot about this palace from a man on duty there. He said that the king of this place ruled the area. However, their descendants do not live here now. No man has inherited it, so the palace is now government property.
