The Castle.
We had a day off from work 23. September as we spent in the mountain (as usual). On this trip we used the bicycles inward a track to a cabin called "Slottet", or the Castle (in English). The cabin is located in a valley called Gressdalen (the valley of grass) and is open to rent.
I don't know why the cabin is called the Castle. Its just a small red cabin without any luxury. Maybe because of the surroundings, or after a long day out hiking or hunting it feels like a castle.
The cabin is located 9 km inward the mountain. The trail goes through the valley vassdalen. Around 5 km the valley split. From here the trail goes up above the treeline and inward the the valley Gressdalen.
From here it goes uphills to Gressdalen..
We had a fun trip on the bicycles. Around 19 km off-road. A lot quicker than walking.
We came up from Vassdalen on the ridge where the river disappear.
