That's right! I completed my 100 km ride 🚴‍♂️🔥💪😎

105.8 kms to be exact!

This is my second 100 km ride.
First one was hell for me! Here is why:

• I went without much preparation
• I drank less water
• I didn't take enough salts/electrolytes

As a result, I got cramps along the way. There was a point where I literally had to stop for 15-20 minutes because I couldn't move at all with all the cramps!
I really struggled to finish the second half.

So this time I was prepared.

• I did 4 prep rides. 30 km x 2 and 50 km x 2
• I took 4 litres of water with electrolytes
• I used the gears correctly, especially during up-hill rides.

I did the ride with four 7th graders (whom I teach music) and a friend.

All strong kids and did the ride with as much ease as I did. So proud of them! 💪

I used a Gramin ForeRunner 245 to track my ride.
It has been my trusty companion for quite a few years now.
I have connect it to my Strava account.

Strava said I hit a total of 38 achievements with a personal record on 17 segments!!! 😎

Also, did I forget to mention that I have an MTB! I got the Giant Revel 3 considering I am in India and the roads are filled with potholes most of the time!
And it does help on the Indian roads. But an MTB is tough to ride long distances.
So I am doubly proud of myself (pats himself on the back).
I soon plan to upgrade to a road bike or at-least a hybrid. (Please upvote generously so I can fulfil this dream 😄🙏🏼)

This was an absolutely fantastic experience and now I plan to do a 100km at least once every 2 months!
