Russian rap - bubble or trouble?
Russian rap industry is currently making the quantum leap. Russian rapper Face is at the fifth place in the annual ranking of most popular men in Russia according to Yandex - the most popular search engine in Russia (I can call it Russian Google to explain importance). Russian rapper Oxxxymiron is making guest appearances on Eminem's radio Shade45 and VLADTV, after participation in the most viewed international rap battle of all times with Californian battle rapper Dizaster. What's interesting, some of his battles in Russia got even more views from Russian Youtube audience solely!
As some people stated - for example, famous pop producer Alexander Kushnir, rap is winning the clash against rock for the title of most popular music genre, especially in the teenage audience.
