why you should avoid flowers this valentines day
y'all really wanna know the scoop when it comes to valentines day?
this is the worst time of year to buy flowers
I know, I know, it's heart breaking. Absolutely dream-shattering. How you could you possibly please your hunny without falling back on the time-honored and terribly basic bundle of thorny stems doomed to shrivel up and die in a few days???
For those of you with a strong dose of logic on your side, this will be pretty easy to stomach. It actually makes total sense when you think about it: everyone wants flowers right now, so priced are jacked up and the quality is absolute trash.
Most florists double the amount they charge per rose, and they're probably not even as high of quality as the ones they normally sell.
Also, valentines arrangements that are trendy and cute are wayyyyyy pricier than what most budgets allow.
Alas, I don't think there's any way we're getting around this expectation in our culture. Us gals (and some guys) are pretty set on those overpriced bundles of life.
So do it I guess. Drop some dough on some stems-just make sure they're actually cute and that she will actually like them. Flowers definitely make the receiver's day, so just go all out if you're gonna do it.
