Bolanle was a ten year old petite, beautiful girl. An orphan who stayed with her uncle and his wife at Mushin, Lagos state. She was a JSS 1 student in a community school but she had to hawk oranges for her aunt after school hours everyday.

On a fateful Friday, she balanced her tray of oranges on her head as usual and headed out. She chanted “buy your sweet orange, oyin ladun osan(oranges are as sweet as honey)" as usual.

“Hey! Orange seller!" Yomi beckoned Bolanle to come closer. “Good evening sir, how many oranges do you want? It's two for fifty naira." Bolanle said when she got to Yomi's balcony. “Okay,give me four" he replied. She sold it and Yomi brought out #1000 note. “Ha, uncle there's no change o" Bolanle said. “Eh,okay come inside with your tray and wait for me while I look for change". “Okay sir" Bolanle innocently replied and entered Yomi's room. He pretended to walk out but returned in a few minutes time and forcefully took poor Bolanle's virginity.

Bolanle cried home broken, explained what happened to her uncle and aunt but neither of them believed her story. They threw her things out and she headed for the church where she started living.
