throwing back on a moment of community service on one of the remote islands in eastern Indonesia, namely Flores in 2021.

we share and do a lot of things there in this mission and activity as I have told you about in the previous hive post, but apart from these activities we also had time to play with the islanders on the pier and the beach

the children in this village are very limited in terms of basic facilities and technological advances with minimal signal, this also makes the children in this island very enthusiastic to welcome new people and very friendly

they were very enthusiastic about teaching us the names of marine animals

limitations do not make the children on this island sad, instead they find happiness in their own way by playing in a very beautiful nature

here I understand a lot about the meaning of happiness not depending on the material attached to us but coming from thoughts and gratitude, and maybe the more things we know about this world the higher our standard of happiness will be.

and as is our custom in general in the afternoon we always gather at the pier with the residents on boleng island to relax enjoying the sunset while chatting together! an experience that really makes me miss this place and hope one day I can go back there
