The genus Zygaena comprises a group of moths known as burnet moths. Unlike most moths, they are diurnal (active during the day) and are easily recognized by their vibrant colors, usually displaying patterns of red spots on a black or dark metallic blue background
O gênero Zygaena compreende um grupo de mariposas conhecidas como zigenas (ou burnet moths em inglês). Ao contrário da maioria das mariposas, estas têm hábitos diurnos e são facilmente reconhecidas pelas suas cores vibrantes, geralmente exibindo padrões de manchas vermelhas sobre um fundo preto ou azul metálico escuro.
