The Zoe Project
I have the privilege of being part of this amazing team of people. As a registered Doula I help women as a birth companion and I love it! Nothing beats the joy of a successful birth and a healthy, happy mom and baby. I met our very first foster baby through my ministry at MOU.
I also teach a weekly antenatal class.
Here is a video with more info on our project.
"The Zoe Project is Cape Town-based non profit that strives to nurture, educate and empower pregnant women, new moms and their families. Through a holistic, hands-on approach, the programme works to ensure that women and their babies at the Retreat Maternity Obstetric Unit (MOU) are supported, loved and empowered during and post-pregnancy. Tracey Aitken (who founded the project in 2009) feels ‘privileged to be able to help these women and families, and positively impact their future’. The programme engages with 6 000+ women per year, and is now seeking support to branch out and take its magic to other hospitals across South Africa. Find out more at www.thezoeproject.co.za"
