Gerduberg Hexagonal Basalt Columns

Goldberg Cliff is quite a rare geological phenomenon in the world. This consists of hexagonal basalt columns that are almost in a perfect row. The row extends over a kilometer. You can find this one in west Iceland, near the Snaefells peninsula. Many see it like a fortress wall, and I can see why.
Thousands of years ago lava river made its way to this point and fell into the water, this created the shape and row of the columns.

These are quite tall as well. Here I am on the photo as a measurement tool.

I thought I have more photos taken of this place but apparently, I don't. I thought I have a shot taken from farther of this cliff, well damn. Really cool and special place.
