Dirty Waters

I was in the city earlier today, when I took a little detour and ended up passing by this fountain, and something about it intrigued me. Delicate waves rolling outward, sunlight sparkling and glimmering on the water, with that vibrant light blue colour- there's some spots that you can focus on, where the water almost looks clean, and beautiful. But then your eyes zoom out, and you see just how... abandoned, it really is, All that dirt, and dead leaves, and broken twigs, and cigarettes, all so dead and drained of colour. If you were too reach your hand into the water, they'd make you feel kinda gross. I dunno. I just found the contrast and dissonance between these waters rather interesting.
