Freewrite Dailyprompt: throw him under the bus

Throw him under the bus, that is what I heard my father saying to my mother. I didn't know what he was saying, but I knew he was talking to my brother.

My brother has been on a bad behavior for a very long time. He smokes, he drinks, goes out for parties, and he steals his money. So my father became so angry. He wanted to disown him and chase him away. I never told him, even though my mother begged.

I feared for him because I loved him so much.
Even though he was not acting well, I wished my dad could forgive him. But he never wanted to repent. He kept on doing bad things. He has been to prison for so many times.

With the help of my mother, he has been released. But he still went back to the streets to commit a lot of crimes. I had fear for him. I don't know what and how he changed. I love him so much and I want him to change back.
Even my father loves him, but my father is tired of him and I decided to disown him as his child.
