A Quick and Easier Way to Buy $ONE & GOLD

If you've been playing Defi Kingdoms for a bit, you've seen the price of Harmony $ONE go up quickly. This makes the price to play the game rise, and hopping on a DEXs or CEX to buy some isn't that simple.

Harmony is the chain the whole platform rests on and is essential to the success of your investment and your gameplay.

I like to keep around 30 $ONE in my wallet while playing and have my emergency reserves in the ONE/JEWEL Liquidity pool. If the price of $ONE shot up, then at least I have some runway before buying-in at a higher rate. Similar to having gas in your tank before a hurricane effects gas prices.

As my $ONE gets low, it's a pain to login to Coinbase, send Solana to Kucoin and then sell $SOL for $USDT and then buy $ONE with $USDT and then send the $ONE to my Metamask wallet. Even just typing the steps is exhausting.

This led me to look for a better way.

On the beta site, you’ve probably noticed Herbert the Alchemist. He’s whipping up potions in his lab for the upcoming PVE/PVP aspects of the game. When studying his current inventory, I noticed something.

With every potion he makes, he doesn’t ever use some very common ingredients that each have a market value.

INVENTORY

Ragweed, Bloater, Redleaf & Redgill are ALL not required in any current potion and readily available from fishing & foraging quests. This means they can be swapped by the Trader in the Marketplace for on-demand $ONE, GOLD or any other token needed.

As you can see by the 10 available potions (as of January 2022), you have 4 very common assets to trade at the Marketplace.

POTIONS

This may not be the case in the future, but right now it’s a great source for extra spending. Technically, GoldVein and Silverfin aren’t used in any potions either, but much harder to come by. I’m not as comfortable trading those when ragweed and bloater are rewarded in just about every quest.

When you go to the Trader, just make sure to choose what you want to get ride of (trade-in) on the top.
