Wildlands around Hilversum NL

Hi Hivers,

I live very near to the city of Hilversum which sounds a bit like Hive-rsum. ;)

Having nothing to do today and with the summer back in full force I decided to take the bicycle for a ride towards Loosdrecht where the rich and fameous live at the edge of the water (no pics) and finishing in the nature of Hoorneboeg close to my place.

The pruple color is flowering heath land. (Dutch : heide).

A heath plant in close up. If the fields are not grazed or burnt regularly the heath disappears and oter planst take over. Especially when N deposits are high (so I am told) grass takes over.
So in these wildlands you see DUNG . Dung of wild roaming cows that are not to be approached!

This is what I look like after 30 km bicycling at a pace of 22 km per hour (not that fast but he I am 59 and the bicycle weighs 16 kg)
