Change Your Wi-Fi Password!

How often do you change your WiFi password? Or have you ever? Many of us are guilty of using whatever our service provider assigned to us and printed on the router device itself. After all, no one else is going to see it and end up using your connection, right? Wrong. Not resetting your WiFi password is a very bad decision and one that leaves you and your network and other people using your network vulnerable to outside parties who might have all sorts of motives to do something to harm you or your data.

Have you ever noticed your neighbors snooping around trying to see what you are up to or what sort of belongings you have? The world is full of people who want to know the business of other people and sometimes that goes a step further and criminal activity takes place. While it seems logical to lock our doors when we go out, we should also be concerned about keeping our digital networks properly locked, too.

The reality of the situation is that while your router is located in your kitchen and your WiFi signal might be weak in, say, your guest bedroom, it might be strong enough to tempt your neighbor or even someone sitting out in front of your house. Others can hack into your network and either steal your information or infect your devices with malware. This is why you should be keeping up to date with secure passwords.
