What I see

I see two pieces of bread with jam spread all over it on a wooden board, and bitten pieces with crumbs around it on the table, a cup of coffee or tea with spoon inside and fork lying on the table.

What I feel

The photo show a simple breakfast scene which seem warm and peaceful, it also creates a calm atmosphere which gives the impression that someone is enjoying a meal.

Write a story

Grandma got up before the sun came up every morning. While the rest of the environment remained asleep, she would hum softly in the kitchen. I always give out a bright smile when I smell the aroma of warm bread and delicious strawberry jam each time I visit in the morning.

Slices of bread covered in jam and a cup of tea would be waiting for me when I walked to the table. Grandma always says the most treasured memories come from simple dinners eaten together.

One cloudy morning, I was late. Her chair was vacant, and the house seemed too quiet. I asked and was told she had been taken to the hospital .

Year's passed, and life moved on, but I never forgot those mornings. Today, I spread jam on fresh bread and made a cup of tea. As I took a bite, the sweet taste brought tears to my eyes. Some meals feed the body. Others keep memories alive forever.
