INTRODUCTORY POST

Every page has an Introduction. Well, this is my introductory post.

I have never been a fan of social media, I was literally forced to open an account on X.It's not that I am antisocial, I don't just see the need for them. Like Nigerians would say, "Life Don serious pass all those things".

However, there is something I love to do and that's writing.It's a gift, hobby, a passion, all at once.Now, it's one thing to write and it's another thing to have an audience who reads, understands and values your work and that's the reason I am here.

Let me introduce myself.

My name is Ugo, a graduate of plant science and biotechnology, from the University of Cross River States, Calabar, (UNICROSS). I am currently a student midwife, in her final year. I am also the Student Union Government's Vice President of my school. You would think I like going to school too much. I just love acquiring knowledge and putting them to good use in different areas of my life. My hobbies are reading, baking, singing, writing and teaching.Yes, I love to impact knowledge I have garnered over the years. It's because of this I started a reading group called BEST GRADUATING STUDENTS. Our sole aim is the ace all our exams in school including our professional and license exams. We have been achieving our goals one step at a time. So if you call me a book worm, I won't disagree with you.

I am quite passionate about what I set my mind to do. I pride myself to be a career driven lady who values personal development. In all this, I can't do anything without My Creator. It is by his grace and strength that I can navigate through life's obstacles.I am so confident that I can do all things through Jesus Christ, who strengthens me. Being able to juggle school with business and SUG position has never been by my own doing. I never planned on taking up such role but then, to whom much is given, much is expected.Sadly my social life had to take a backseat, as I no longer engage in social activities.The GenZ phrase would be " My social battery is low".I do hope it gets better with time.

I also love taking pictures. I took a photography crash course for a few days and I don't regret that decision. It helps me find the right angles for taking of pictures . I have realised that most people don't know their best angles and so they think they are not photogenic. With the new development in technology, nobody can say he or she isn't photogenic, or doesn't look good in pictures. Photo editing is doing the most, like Gen Zs would say. I do hope to learn photo and video editing at some point in my life.

I found out about Hive from a senior colleague @mayor-001 . He read a few of my articles, which I posted on my status and complimented on them. Since then, he has been grooming me for the hive platform and I am forever grateful to him.

I started this account with a motive; to write captivating articles that would not only intrigue my audience but also educate. This space is for stories, daily reflections, book reviews and everything else in-between.
