Concert Program Designer - First time!

For the past few weeks I've been busy with work so I haven't been able to update in a while. Finally found some time off so here goes!

Starting a new job at an event company wasn't easy at first. It took time to get used to and it took some of my personal time too. Our most recent project was doing a mini concert in our little town Kota Kinabalu. We don't get many music events here so it was a pretty fun and exciting thing to work on.

My position in the company is a Creative Executive. For this project I was put in charge with designing social media content, liaising with a band from Jakarta plus a local DJ and designing the concert's program flow. Also had to work on some motion graphics for the concert screen visualizers It was pretty exciting and it offered a new experience for me.

I had to learn how to compromise as we had 3 other companies working together along with dance groups that came from different crews and ideas had to be brought to a common ground. Deciding a song list for the band was interesting as well because we were hiring a band from another country so we couldn't meet up in person to discuss things. It was very nerve wrecking as well because we only had time for rehearsals only 2 days in advance with the dancers and only 1 day before event with the band.

Thank God that everything worked out alright when they arrived. Overall the night was great despite a few technical hiccups here and there.
