July 1st Challenge Starts Now!!!
Hello, dear growers and garden lovers!
Here's your Official Reminder about this special time of the month..
Each month on the 1st, we invite YOU to share YOUR gardens - no matter if you're only in the planning & dreaming stage or whether you're harvesting a bounty.
You can even post a community garden or your grandmother's balcony flowers - we love seeing it all! Cactus, eggplant, mushroom farming, compost, landscape design, irrigation - it's all welcome.
Whilst we can't offer prizes, sometimes we share a tip and nearly always upvote and reblog your posts. Many find that they get good engagement from other gardeners for their #gardenjournal posts too - the best reward!
If anyone wants to lend a hand doing a monthly curation wrap up post, please feel free. would be grateful for the help!
We do have to be a little tough though - remember, we want to keep this community a worthwhile place to be. No AI slop please - and we ask you to post in English first, and then you're welcome to write in your main language second. This isn't because we don't love global gardeners, it's just that curators find it easier to read if it's just in one language, plus it can be confusing for outsiders to see a multilingual post! Also, please don't post ten photos of the one plant - it's so tedious to scroll through so many similiar photos!
I'm sorry we've stopped the weekly challenges for now. I'm stretched a little thin and was finding it hard to find time, especially when there was only one or two responses each week. As usual, unless these things are taken up by the community with great enthusiasm, it's hard to find a reason to keep them going. I would be super happy for help though so let me know if this is something you'd like to do in the community.
