*Thoughts Over Coffee*

The weather has been terrible in our area. Trees have fallen, roofs have been torn off, houses have been destroyed, and there have been many disasters. Trees are everywhere, and people are sad because their crops have been lost. They've suffered significant losses, not entirely, but a good part of them. Remember, a quarter of the harvest being destroyed by winds and rain means a quarter of loss for your pocket.

Talking to some friends, they tell me, "Well, we have to keep going with a quarter less." Life goes on, thank God we're alive, and thank God we have health and life. We lost a bit of the harvest, of course, but it's not all bad. Sometimes there are some benefits. For example, if you've noticed my latest videos on my blog, you'll see that there are many fallen trees, and they can be sold. Except for one small detail: if the tree is already down, it can be sold and commercialized. So, people are getting some income. We could say there's a natural balance in nature. What they lost in the harvest can be recovered through the sale of this wood.

How much does a tree cost? My neighbor was offered $90 for a tree without any expenses. That's a great profit, equivalent to a part of her lost harvest. Of course, there's a significant saving since she doesn't have to pay for cutting it down, permits, or transportation. The person in charge comes, cuts the wood, and that's it.

So, over a cup of coffee, I'm thinking about what could have been. I'm thinking about what could have happened if I was in the wrong place, and a big tree fell on my roof, damaging my house and putting my safety and my family's at risk. But fortunately, it didn't happen, and we can continue living. So, enjoy life and be thankful that you're still alive and healthy, if you are.
