FungiFriday: Geometry in the Contours.

Have you seen the dark side of mushrooms? Where the folds hide underneath each mushroom, there are beautiful shapes that really spark anyone’s imagination. Anyone who goes under the mushrooms will see another world hidden from what you see at first glance.

That’s where many animals take shelter and find their food. Look at the first images and you’ll see many creatures grazing along the contours of the beautiful mushrooms—maybe for protection or for feeding, as you can see here.

Do you know any beings that live in mushrooms? I do. They’re called Smurfs—little blue sprites chased by the sorcerer Gargamel. But that’s another story, and it’s made our mushrooms famous for many generations.
