Crack Mack Update - Bud Shots

Hello Everyone,

We're getting very close to harvest, and the most noticeable thing today when watering was the rapid dropping of foliage.

The foliage drop is so rapid that I've fallen behind keeping up with clearing the dead stuff away. This is not a big deal to me and I'm not stressing it.

The dead leaves turn crispy and just lay on the plant in-between the netting. I'll remove it all when I perform the harvest.

We can see in the photographs above that her fade coloration has mostly been a consistent yellow, no reds and not much purple.

The night time temps have been pretty low in the grow room, as well as the humidity. This is good because it helps emulate what the plant naturally experiences during its dark hours.

The buds that are laying on the net get blasted with light on their side profile, a less natural way of receiving light.

When the buds are properly supported like they are with this double layer net, this side profile lighting helps swell the buds up even more, and oftentimes the trichome profile seems to thicken as well.

The saying "pictures don't do it justice" is well applied to a sativa dominant cannabis plant like the Crack Mack. The smell is a pungent mix of fruity and skunky aroma, and the oils are insanely sticky and leave a cologne like smell on the hands after touching.

The aroma has not faded a bit throughout flowering, if anything the aroma still continue to increase even at this point with five days left before harvest.

It's going to be interesting to see the difference in effects from pushing this cultivar an extra ten days in her flowering cycle. I feel confident it was the correct choice and will yield more weight as well as better effects for consumption.

That will do it for this update.

How is the Crack Mack looking with five days left in flowering?

I'd love to read your thoughts in the comment section!

Thank you for stopping by!

Have a good day! - futuremind@futuremind
