Glow Through the Darkness

After dinner I felt like going for a short walk to help with digestion and hopefully get some better sleep tonight. It feels like a nicer way to end the day instead of sinking into the couch and scrolling or watching TV. I am pretty sure my doctor would vote for the walking option, so that is another good reason to stick with this habit.

To make the walk more interesting, I brought my camera along. I played again with low ambient light paired with a strong spotlight shining through the leaves. This simple setup creates a dramatic contrast that I really enjoy. The bright parts almost glow while the shadows stay deep and dark, revealing all the tiny veins and textures on the leaves.

For this set I focused on different kinds of leaves and how they react to the light. Some look soft and delicate, others appear tougher and a bit worn out, but all of them become more expressive in black and white. The shapes and lines take center stage when there is no color to distract the eye.

I arranged the photos in a window-frame layout once more because I like how it tells a mini story on a single page. Each frame shows a slightly different mood, yet they all share the same light and contrast. It feels like looking out of four small windows into the same quiet night.
