Then, the team from segun's Street scored. The boys screamed and many of them jumped down the fence and ran about the field screaming happily and cheering their the more. Then, they returned to their position. Segun did not get down from the fence because he was afraid that some bigger than him could take over the position and he would not have a good position to watch the match.

Just after celebrating the goal, the boys ran back to the fence. More boys joined, each wanting a place to sit on the fence. Just as the boy were struggling to get on the fence, the fence fell. The boys fell with the fence. Segun too fell with the fence. A block fell on him and hit him on his head. He fainted. The boys playing football and others ran to help the boys. Many of the boys who had fallen with the fence were badly injured. Some had fainted.

The bigger boys picked up the boys who had fainted and began to rush them to a nearby hospital. Many adults came to help them and soon, all of them were taken to the hospital. Segun did not know what was happening around him because he was in the hospital and he did not know that the news of what had gone round. When segun woke up, he was in a hospital ward and sitting around him were his parents and sister.

He did not know where he was. He tried to get up but he felt pains in his head. He had terrible headache. then he saw a lady in white. She must be a nurse, he thought. He was very sick and in pains. He was in the hospital for three weeks. He remembered what happened to home and he knew that if had obeyed his parents like his friend, femi, he would not have been in any trouble. His father was not happy with him.
