Drawing log #14 Cotton Candy girl ハチクロファンアート🍯🍀🎨

... So to procrastinate a little, I've ended up drawing a fan art of Hanamoto Hagumi, a character in an acclaimed manga "Honey and Clover" by Chica Umino.

The comic is about a bunch of art school students, who struggle with work, money and mostly unrequited love. It's really funny and endearing but ends quite sad, when all of them (well almost all of them) graduate and go on with their lives. Hagumi ends up in an accident and injures her dominant hand. We don't know if her hand is going to recover enough for her to continue with her art... as far as I remember.

I wasn't planning to do a fan art piece, but when I started drawing the hair, I realized that it was Hagumi staring at me from the paper ^^;

I've used colour pencils to get "instant" results :D since I had no time or interest to deal with watercolour or markers today.

やっぱり美大生の激しい生活の影響ですかね？笑

それともスピッツの夜を掛けるの影響ですか？
この曲が大好きで、CDまで買ってました。三日月ロック。。。懐かしいです。皆さんは懐かしい漫画とか曲とかありますか？

時間があまりなかったので、色鉛筆で彩色しました。悪くないですね。水彩よりは面倒なことはないですしね。また使おうと思っています。
