Why do people still pay so much for an ether transaction?
I noticed today when i locked at etherscan, in the pending transaction site, that peopele still pay 20 Gwei an more for a transaction even when the mempool is mostli empty.

I think one reason is that the standard settings in most wallets is at the moment way to high and people nead to be better educatet what gas price and gas limit means.
I mean I used today 1 Gwei and it whend thru in less then a minute. And thats already 7 cents for a not so big transaction.
It is not necesary to thow that much money at the miners when your transaction is for sure in the next block.
