Guillermo Del Toro came out with another intriguing sci-fi experience, The Shape of Water.
This movie is just a representation of everyday interaction by we, humans. Its a behavioural characteristics of human to align themselves with one another, iff (if and only if) they see a reflection of oneself in another. Why do Jocks hang out with Jocks or Nerds with Nerds?
The protagonist saw herself in the creature. She was in a world of her own, a prisoner of the world, she was a mute, who was just existing instead of living, then she saw him, and everything changed.
It is a splendid movie, slower in pace but captivating at every turn.
