MY FIRST POEM

my names Melissa, means in Greek bee,
maybe that ironic because i love honey,
I'm a poet, an artist and a free spirit,
a little competitive so I'm in it to win it,
i love charity work because it makes me feel good,
its not that i have to its that i should,
i love foraging, mainly for mushrooms and berries,
love to bake things with rhubarb and cherries,
I'm a happy go lucky kinda girl,
i like to dance and prance and twirl,
I'm a bit of a hippie, and love to spread love,
for love is pure as the whitest dove,
i like to draw and i like to write,
it brings me joy, it brings me delight,
smile and the world smiles with you,
is my favorite line,
so go out there and make the world shine!
