Today is Derby Day against St George.
Even though they are just a stitched-together merger and a downright terrible football team these days, the absolute chaos still thickens the air.
Is it the same as the old days?
No.
But nothing beats the pure satisfaction of squeezing the life out of your next-door neighbours and taking bragging rights over the Shire's boundary.
The streets are a beautiful mess of black white and bluie, with the kind of electric tension that makes your heart beat in overdrive before kick-off.
So put your phones away, scream until your throat is completely shredded and let the madness take over.
Because no matter how bad they are, it's still St George.
