You Create Therefore You Are
Today I want to talk about something particularly important to me as a photographer: creating. To me, photography is far more than merely pushing a shutter button. It is a genuine statement of the soul, the intellect, and our own personal view of and interpreting the world. Each and every picture we produce is a tiny reflection of our inside world, a moment of inspiration and joy.
Inside each of us there is a distinct point of view, an inner voice wanting to be articulated. For this expression, I view photography as the ideal venue. The Infinite elements of a scenery, a forgotten detail on a little bug, the life-giving rhythm of buildings and things in a city, and even the still, private scenes of a portrait can all exist together. The camera turns our creativity into an extension, enabling us to make the invisibility of the visible doable, record a moment before it vanishes permanently, and endow significance on the everyday.
The variety of photography is not just limitless but also quite enriching. That's what makes it so fascinating. There are endless chances to explore, acquire new knowledge, and continuously reconstruct ourselves using our photographs; there are no fixed norms restricting our creativity. Every single image we produce represents a truthful part of us, whether you are painting with light, photographing complex forms, or delivering fantastic stories without speech. It provides a view into our perspective, a chronicle of our fundamental drive and how we interpret the world.
I believe that being is very intimately connected to this creative process. Photographs make me feel above all linked to myself, to my surroundings, and to my topic in addition to alive. It's an act of sheer presence whereby I am completely consumed in the present, time seems to stand still, and only the here and now matters. And that's exactly what I want to communicate to you: the profound realization that via our acts, through our creation, we actively define and mold our life as well as demonstrate our existence. Each picture we create mirrors an ongoing dialogue between self and surroundings.
