Beyond the Breeze: Trail Cam Chronicles
Yesterday, I retrieved my wildlife camera from the forest, and as usual, the hopes were high. After weeks of waiting, dreaming, imagining about all the small and big forest animals that would be running around in front of the lens. And the end result? Well, let's say there were 1400 photos and videos and nearly all of them, I mean all, were of the wind.🤣 Yep, you heard it right, my BFF, the wind, was obviously the true star in front of my camera. It is not very funny, but all you can do is laugh at it?
Another notable moment was video 3. You only see the forest, but you can very clearly hear steps behind the camera. Some animal was wondering around there, and I thought I wonder, what could that of been? A wild boar? A fox? Or maybe another deer? It is this little mystery that makes the forest so captivating. You never fully know who is wandering around amongst the shadows.
Video 4, which simply shows the forest at night. No animals, no movement, only the dark silence of the forest. I have no idea why the camera triggered here. Perhaps there was a leaf fluttering past at the very last moment? Or a shadow that the camera mistook as movement? Sometimes technology provides greater mysteries than we may ever know.
“Wind shots aplenty but some cool little treasures I’m getting from my trail camera this time,” is how I would happily sum it up. These are little peeks into the secret life of the woods that always excite me and get me eager to reposition the camera. Hopefully, next time will have less wind and more of nature directly in front of the lens!🙃✌️
Note:I didn't realize that every video I linked in the post from 3speak also appears here in PeakD as a separate post "per video." A bit too many posts today.😅 Sorry, I still have a bit to learn about all this.
