Introduce Yourself

Hello there. My name is Adebomi Foluwaso Oluwayemi, I'm 18 years old and I am a Nigerian. I'll get to the good stuff;
I am a writer, although I identify first and foremost as a 'screenwriter'. Other forms of writing come second. Screenwriting has long since been a passion of mine, all thanks to Shonda Rhimes. I've found that screenwriting has given me a chance to go outside the life I've been given - to dream and experience life more than it is, and more than it will be. This has jolted wild dreams in me that I confess sometimes I ponder - with where I'm from - will I ever get the chance to get to the places I want to be? Standing there on that stage at the Oscars collecting an award for best original screenplay and being interviewed at SDCC.
Basically, the dream, is Hollywood. Let me not forget to mention that most people I tell what my dream is over here think I am overdoing the dreaming. Like we say in Nigeria, "Is it their dream?"
I remain an optimist. I am an optimist, a believer in the belief that, "If you believe in something hard enough and that belief doesn't shake, you'll come to realize that your steps inadvertently would take you towards it."
Other things I have deep interest for are, WATCHING FILMS (that had to capitalized), photography, singing, modeling, the list goes on.
Currently, I work as a freelancer on Fiverr and in my first year at the best college in West Africa, the University of Ibadan. School is a scam, I tell you. Hasn't been easy AT ALL.
I'm here on this platform primarily because I feel being here would widen and broaden my horizon, tell my stories and experiences, get to meet people from different fields, different places, learn, which I ultimately would also push me steps closer to my dream. And I'm also here because - I wouldn't be a Nigerian if I didn't say this - this provides me an opportunity to earn money... The right way, the legal way, proving that despite what foreigners might think of Nigerian youths, some of us are good eggs.
