Tool, Flooring Job Completed - Wednesday

I woke yesterday to the Home Depot email with sales and found that the DeWalt jigsaw was on a killer deal so got that ordered. I have needed a new one as the power wire on my old one is trashed. This one comes with a 9ah battery that will fit my chainsaw so I will now have 2 for it. The jigsaw uses the same batteries as the rest of my DeWalt tools which I have plenty of. Just the battery alone normally costs what I paid for the saw! It should be here Tuesday and I am super stoked, it will round out my DeWalt tool set quite nicely.

I was then back at the flooring job and got right to work finishing it off. First thing was to install in the office closet and get the base boards all cut and installed in the room.

The shower install guy was there as well but he was in the bathroom the whole time and just needed through for cutting the hardy backer.

THEN it was the laundry room but first I had to shuffle stuff around.

I then remembered that I had to install the flooring to the base of the stairs so did that quick.

It took me a bit to get the laundry room to a point that I could start laying courses. I was only able to do the first 4 or 5 in the space available before then moving the freezer, washer, and dryer.

The flooring went down fairly quickly and it was about 1:30 when I had it all installed. It felt really nice to have the last piece in place! My back was probably the happiest since it meant it was close to getting a break...

All the baseboard and door trim installed I hooked up the washer and dryer, reinstalled the entry door, then glued the thresholds down with caulk and taped them in place to hold them down.

The tenants are quite happy with the flooring and Camille was very happy to have it done as well.

I was done, cleaned up, and my tools loaded up by 2:45 and it had been 22 hours of work to finish. My longest job yet with my business. I then drove over to Camille's to get paid but she had a couple things to do when I got there which added an extra hour.

Bidet installed and the air return cleaned I got my check and headed for home. As I was driving the car again began to overheat so I pulled into Yokes to refill the radiator and figured I would go get groceries while there.

So much going on these days, I have worked 34 days in the past 2 months and am doing the BEST I have ever done professionally. I now have a small basket of more regular clients and have had my Thumbtack shut off for a couple weeks as I have been busy enough. Which is exactly what I have wanted. In these 2 months I have billed more than I made in my first 6 years of growing produce and exactly as much as I made the last 3 years of growing...😱

I am heading up to one of my main client's to install another cat door for her and hook up her hot tub that delivered yesterday. It should be a shorter day today than the past few days. I am hoping to hear back that my old paraglider has passed inspection and the buyer should pay me the rest of the funds which will be a nice boost to my savings, which I may have to use to get my truck fixed by someone else...
